One from our Summer shenanigans folder, WE FORFEIT return with a gem from June 2022 in Valencia where a very special night took place. With a glut of DJ’ing talent, WE FORFEIT inaugurated their first night with their good friend Nico aka Neud Photo. With releases on Bordello A Parigi, Mysidian, Pinkman and Soil, Nico has an impressive back catalogue. In Killing Time, the US-born synth artist delivered an incredible live set, one that we have recordings of for this first of the season.

Opening the two hour session is a young DJ whose heart lies in the golden age of techno. Nahuel got the night going with a cracking set of classic artificial intelligence style electronics. Classics packed!

Robbie’s up next with a slice of his two hour set. Tracks include E.R.P., Egyptian Lover, Luca Lozano, and lots more. Moody tones begin Chris’ mix, brighter hues coming as Valencia Bacalao gems sparkle in the muggy Valencia night. Our headliner, Neud Photo finishes the evening’s entertainment. We’ve brought you 45 minutes of his intense live jam session. Crossing the boundaries of acid, electro, new beat and synth, Nico delivers a session that had bodies sweating and limbs flailing on the Killing Time dancefloor.

Summer sunshine and slahser synth action in Killing Time.

For the third party we've called on the killer talents of a seriosly talented artist :: Snuffo.

Snuffo, Snuff Crew, Kat Channel. Some of the monikers and groups this musician has called home.

Benedikt Schmidt hails from Germany and calls Spain home. Other homes have inclueded imprints like n the Dark Again, I Love Acid, Killekill, Schrödinger's Box, and Snuff Traxx. Although his soul is acid dipped, expect everything from electro, house and techno to coil their ways around his unique live set.

Robo will be sharing the cabin with a top selection of Djs including Iupacc (Syntax), Pilan (Unitat) and David Verdeguer of HC Records and Killing Time fame.

Last WE FORFEIT of the season and we’ve, like always, something real special. Having not played in the Radio Relativa studio since before the pandemic, many many moons and PCRs ago, WE FORFEIT are back in the booth with a mate and a serious selector.

Mora has spent years of behind the turntables in Madrid and throughout Spain. We’re tremulous to have Miguel, a DJ with such style and taste. This session was almost derailed, literally, by out of service trains, hooky car batteries and a heat that’d bake a cake. Despite such obstacles, the lads made it and put together two hours of electronics with labels like Lunatic, Roberto Auser, Frigio, Lunar Disko, Tech Startup, Neud Photo and loads more.

A tracklist will materialize, over time, but this was a pretty improvised thing.

There was a tear in poor Robbie’s beady eye when Chris mounted the steps of that bus for Valencia. Yet change means new opportunities and WE FORFEIT have been lucky enough to have played a handful of times at the wonderful Killing Time in Valencia.

Twelve months ago the lads were there where a two hour set of caustic and raw electronics was the serving. Robbie was up first and sadly only his part of the mix survives. Nevertheless, the memories of a cracking night with las fallas at Happy Mondays will be cherished for years to come.

This episode starts off with some a favorite from Dark Entries, the klepto-electro new beat of Grey House opens before some mellow techno machinations care of John Beltran, DJN4 and Gerd. Chris takes over with some new Chicago house grit with some friendlier numbers sprinkled in with Paul Hardcastle and our favorite Hyboid.

Our mix goes from weirded wave into acid absolution and then dives headlong into some hedonism, even a ‘bitta Kraftwerk in there.

This month’s show continues our exploration of electronic music with a very special guest. Carlos Martín aka Mynationshit is an artist of serious caliber. Based in Almería, this synth sorcerer has his own unique sound that combines a cold wave cleanness with more emotive elements. With his Waste Editions label, this talented musician has been a favorite here at WE FORFEIT for many years now and we’re more than delighted to have him as our first ever guest mix.

Before Carlos’ selection, Robbie is on hand with a range of records that showcase Mynationshit’s releases, his label as well as tracks that reflect both his sound and that of his mix. Expect tracks that span more than twenty years with fragile compositions and gentle synth-work countered by computer rhythms and sharper sounds.

The Waste Editions boss traverses a spread of styles in his mix. Spanish labels feature heavily with homegrown labels including Artificial Intelligence, Cold Beat Records, Frigio, Factor City, and Noise to Meet You.
